
Dick Cagney, Principal
Simply put, Dick Cagney is a modern-day information and opportunity matchmaker. Dick launched Cagney Research Group Inc. in 2007 with the mission of helping insurance industry participants and providing clarity to the institutional money manager investing in the insurance industry. His firm facilitates the exchange of information among insurance professionals as well as between insurance professionals and investors.
Prior to founding Cagney Research Group, Dick established the securities brokerage operation of Cochran Caronia Waller. He led the unit to become the top insurance-focused investment brokerage operation before its merger with Fox-Pitt Kelton. In 1996, he established the North American Securities unit of the Canadian Investment Bank Nesbitt Burns in Chicago.
Dick holds a Bachelor of Arts from Xavier University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from DePaul University.

Debbie Clamage, Associate
Deb brings strong organizational, planning, marketing and management skills to Cagney Research Group. Before joining Cagney Research Group, Deb spent more than 20 years developing programs and fundraising in the not-for-profit sector, preceded by more than a decade in the commercial real estate industry. Deb earned a Bachelor of Arts from Barat College and a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from DePaul University.
Tim McCarthy, Compliance Associate
Tim McCarthy joined Cagney Research Group as Compliance and Research Associate. Tim has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily in sales and marketing. Prior to Cagney Research Group, he worked for companies providing investment decision-support tools to the professional investment community including Thompson Financial and Standard & Poor's. Tim received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University of Notre Dame and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
